The November 13th Pre-Conference Day will offer a choice of workshops led by members of the EdTechTeacher team as well as other featured instructors from across the country. Participants register for the Pre-Conference separately from the Summit and choose to take part in one of these three sessions.
These sessions SOLD OUT during the first two iPad Summits. We do recommend registering early.
This workshop is geared towards middle and high school teachers looking to create the iPad classroom. From consumption to creation to curation, you will learn strategies and apps for putting iPads in the service of learning.
Focusing on elementary classrooms, in this session, we will help educators leverage these devices to support younger learners. This workshop will address age-appropriate concepts such as developing student fluency and voice, integrating physical and digital learning objects, and creating centers of learning.
The Creating Digital & Multimedia Content workshop focuses on the development of custom learning objects and App Smashing. In particular, we will address the creation of iBooks, ePubs, audio, video, and more.
For those who have already attended one of our iPad Classroom workshops, or have extensive experience with iPads, this workshop will include an exploration of advanced curation, creation and organization using iPads. Advanced workflow strategies will be covered as well multi-app combination scenarios to create multimedia content.
At EdTechTeacher, we have been leading the way with our iPad professional development. Through webinars, blog posts, Summer Workshops, and our on-site professional development programs, we have worked with schools, school leaders, and educators from across the country as they work to transform their classrooms through successful iPad integration.
In the iPad T21 program, we focus on specific learning goals that promote critical-thinking, creativity, collaboration, and the creation of student-centric learning environments. We begin with hands-on exploration of specific apps and then transition to broader topics such as collaboration, workflow, assessment, and content curation over the course of this full-year program.
